OMSAI Nachani Ghavan Flour, 1 kg
Nachni ghavan flour from Sindhudurg, packed under the OMSAI brand. It's for ghavan, the thin Konkan crepe, made with nachni (ragi, finger millet) in the flour, so it cooks up darker and earthier than plain rice ghavan. No soaking or fermenting is needed.
How to use it
Whisk the flour with salt and water into a pourable batter and rest it for 10–15 minutes. The listing doesn't say how much ragi is in the mix, so make your first batch slightly thicker than you would for plain ghavan and adjust from there. Pour onto a hot, lightly greased tawa, cover for about a minute until the top is matte, and lift it off.
What to eat it with
Coconut chutney, pickle, or a bowl of usal.
