Every purchase directly supports SHG members by creating sustainable livelihoods and strengthening rural enterprises. MSRLM does not collect any fees or commission on sales of products.

MSRLM (Maharashtra State Rural Livelihoods Mission) is a Government of Maharashtra initiative, under National Rural Livelihoods Mission, aimed at improving livelihoods of rural poor, especially women, through SHGs and federations.
UMED is a brand initiative of the Maharashtra State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM) that promotes products made by Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
The objective is to develop sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural poor through self-help groups by providing support in production, marketing, and skill development; thereby focusing on women empowerment, enterprise development and poverty alleviation.
UMED offers food products, handicrafts, home essentials, personal care items, and other products produced by SHGs.
UMED products are available at UMED Mart outlets, exhibitions, fairs, and online platform - www.umedmart.com supported by MSRLM as well as Amazon, ONDC, Meesho and Flipkart.
It provides income generation, skill development, leadership opportunities, and financial independence to rural women SHG members by offering a continuous sales pipeline for their products.
SHGs can approach their Block Mission Office (BMMU) or District Mission Office (DMMU) for registration and guidance.
Queries can be directed to the nearest MSRLM office or the official UMED support channels.
