What it is
Chinnor is the aromatic rice of the Bhandara–Gondia belt in eastern Vidarbha (Bhandara Chinnor has been a registered GI since 2023). It's a medium grain with a pointed tip and a clear fragrance. It cooks firm and non-sticky, and the grains lengthen as they cook, so it suits dishes where you want the rice to stay separate.
