About the SHG and Product:

Rukmini Self-Help Group was established in 2019 to promote economic self-reliance among women and encourage local food traditions. The group began by producing the now-popular Solapuri Kadak Bhakri.

Solapuri Kadhak Bhakri is a traditional Maharashtrian food known for its crispiness and high nutritional value. It is crafted from premium flour and fresh ingredients, using eco-friendly production methods.

With support from the UMED scheme, the group secured a bank loan, allowing them to access raw materials and modern machinery. Their dedication to quality and taste soon increased demand beyond local markets.

Today, the group’s nutritious and tasty bhakris are recognized in both local and regional markets. Their success story is an inspiring example of how SHGs can create sustainable livelihood and preserve food heritage.
